少しずつ肌寒く感じるようになってきましたね。
今回は久しぶりの画材紹介です。
お題は上の画像の通り、
「クレヨンとオイルパステル」です。
おそらく多くの方が初めて使用するカラー画材ではないでしょうか？
皆さんはどちらをよく利用されていましたか？
ちなみに私はオイルパステル派でした。
「オイルパステル？クレヨンと一緒に扱うのならクレパスでは？」
と思われた方もいるかもしれません。
クレパスとは「サクラクレパス」と言う会社が製造・販売しているオイルパステルの商品の事を指します。
なのでオイルパステルの中にクレパスも含まれます。
さて、クレヨンとオイルパステル（クレパス）の違いはご存知でしょうか？
2つの違いを中心にそれぞれの特徴を紹介したいと思います。

| 線描に向いている | 特徴 | 面塗りに向いている |
クレヨンは蝋を多く含む為、オイルパステルよりも硬く透明感のある線を描く事が可能な反面、クレヨンだけで強弱を出す事が困難になっています。
オイルパステルは油脂分を多く含む為、非常に柔らかく他の色とも混ざりやすい反面、細かい作業が困難になっています。
あとよく折れます。
主にオイルパステルで利用される方法ですが、
複数色を重ねて塗り、その上から削って下の色を出したり、布や手で擦りぼかす、と言った油彩に近い手法や
絵の具と組み合わせる事で見え方に変化を持たせる、と言った手法もあります。
歴史も古く、昔からよく使用されている画材の1つですので興味を持たれたら、1度調べてみて下さい。
